"F" Air Core Gauge Motors for 95 - 98 GM Truck & SUV Fuel Gauge

Description: BRAND NEW "F1" Series Air Core style gauge motors to replace the weak or defective ones found in mechanical odometer style GM Trucks and SUV'S from 95 - 98 and 99 Old Body style as well as other later model HD Trucks and P Chassis Step Vans but you must check yours to confirm fitment for your application. If the letter on the mounting tab is an F, then this is the correct motor for your application. Common problems are a vibrating needle from loss of motor dampening fluid, if your fuel gauge is inoperative suspect external issues like a faulty fuel sender unit or wiring and NOT the fuel gauge motor itself. Motors DO NOT come with a resistor on the back but if your original motor has one it will need to be removed from the original (see photo for reference) using care not to push or pull the gauge pins out while doing so which will permanently damage the motor. Removal can be achieved by placing the motor on a flat surface and applying pressure while working the resistor off evenly from side to side with a flat blade screwdriver. Gauges are not self-calibrating so will need to be calibrated for accuracy and also installed with the letter facing the same direction in which it was removed.
