The body is made of two-piece alder selected for its weight and grain, and the same metal parts as the Closet Classic. It is finished with a NOS flash coat lacquer finish, making it a complete Time Capsule package. The real "magic" of this guitar is in the neck and fingerboard. The stained, extremely stable, straight-grained maple neck has a C-shaped profile that is perfect for shake-hand style playing and fits a variety of playing styles. The 7.25" (184 mm)-9.5" (241 mm) compound radius fingerboard is based on a rare specimen from that era, and the shape flattens out towards the higher frets, making bending easier without coming off the frets. The 21 medium vintage frets further complete this great guitar, giving it a more vintage style feel and playability. Other features include three Hand-Wound '62/'63 Strat single-coil pickups, a five-way switch, vintage-style wiring, a three-ply parchment pickguard, an American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, a bone nut and a wing-style string tree with metal spacers.
