I don't know anything about art, so ask me whatever questions you may have, and I'll answer the best I can. A family member brought this back from Eastern Europe when he came back from serving in WWII. It is signed with what looks like "Mussljenko", and is dated '46. I know for a fact that it IS actually from that time period and that it was brought back from Eastern Europe where he served. It is painted on what looks like thin plywood. The wood is slightly bent from age. I have no idea what media it is, I'm guessing oil. The frame is wood with a thin layer of what I think is Gesso, that has been colored as you see in the picture and the closeup below. The picture itself is approximately 19 3/4 inches by 15 inches, and overall size with frame is 18" by 22 3/4". A nice looking picture (to my untrained eye, anyway). If you need closeups of anything to judge the condition, just email me thru ebay. It was appraised about 15-20 years ago, but I can't find any of the paperwork, and don't even remember who or where the appraiser was anymore. Buyer pays shipping based on 10 lbs well packed. If shipping cost has been overestimated by more than 50 cents, I will refund the difference.
