Description: 2 DEDHAM POTTERY BOOKS, POSTCARD AND PAMPHLET Dedham pottery is known to many as the simple, white crackleware with blue rabbits around the border. From 1895 to 1943, several generations of the Robertson family produced quality stoneware in Dedham, Mass. The pottery was entirely hand made, and the blue decorations were all free-hand, no stencil being used. My mother had a large collection of Dedham Pottery, and these were her reference books. The Dedham Pottery and the earlier Robert’s Chelsea Potteries by Lloyd E. Hawes, M.D. Published by the Dedham Historical Society, 1968, Hardcover, 52 pages This book was prepared to accompany a definitive exhibition of Chelsea and Dedham Pottery at the Dedham Historical Society’s headquarters in 1968. Also included is a copy of the oversized postcard announcing the exhibit and a small “Short History of Dedham Pottery” pamphlet that was probably available at the exhibit. There is some writing on a few of the pages. Dedham Pottery CATALOG Reprinted in its Unabridged Original Form 1938, with an Introduction by Marilee B. Meyer Published in 1987. Softcover, 38 pages
