Description: Antique Meissen cup and saucer dating from circa 1760 with hand painted topographical scenes. It depicts 3 figures and a dog in the foreground with ruins, statues and castles in the distance surrounded by a floral and rose-colored border with gold highlights. Condition is excellent with no damages. There is a minor factory glaze irregularity to the foot rim of the cup, see last photo. Both pieces are marked with the underglaze blue Meissen crossed swords of the period. Cup size approx. 2 5/8" high and 2 3.4" wide at the rim, the saucer measures approx. 5 1/8" in diameter. This is an antique item; it may have small manufacturing irregularities that do not affect the display of the piece.
