Description: Dating from around 1930, this little purse/coin holder has a striped Deco design. The holder is almost square (2 3/8" x 2 3/16") and is made from nickel silver (aka German silver) which is not silver at all but has the appearance of sterling. The top and back are domed so the case has a puffy look. The front has a circular cartouche with a monogram which looks like an F or E? At the top edge is a loop to which is attached an incised link chain long enough to slip around the wrist. The hinged case opens and closes smoothly and tightly with a nice snap. The inside has four spring loaded slots for coins- quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. All the money a girl could need for a night on the town. It is stamped GERMAN SILVER.The case measures 2 3/8" x 2 3/16" x 9/16" and weighs 70.6 grams. There are some small shallow dents.
