During a professional music career primarily developed between 1968 and the early 1980s, Segarini was particularly popular in Canada and was often referred to as the Canadian Nick Lowe. He is also notable as one of the founding members of The Wackers and The Dudes. Bomb Records was a Canadian indie record label formed in 1978 and was home to Segarini, The Battered Wives and other new Canadian bands.
