Description: Historical 5.5X8 German official document from August 17, 1944 giving Georg Kurzhals a first class medal. Signed in fountain pen ink, "Finger," by Arthur Finger. In very good condition. Comes with a photograph of him. (1898-1945) Arthur Finger was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Arthur Finger was killed on 27 January 1945 near Tschenstochau, Poland during the Vistula–Oder Offensive. Comes with a full Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Authentics.
