Description: These prints were taken from “THE APPLES OF ENGLAND,” by H.V. Taylor, CBE, a seminal work on the British Apple first published in 1936 with black and white illustrations. These handsomely coloured plates were first included in the third revised edition in 1946. They are mounted and backed in high quality neutral pH board mounts with bevelled apertures and enclosed in a clear face protective print envelope.They are taken from an distressed copy of this work and are nearly seventy years old. In near fine condition, they may have very small blemishes and light toning but the photo illustrations are of the actual items offered for sale so may scrutinised before purchase.
