Description: Here is a very rare antique Nautilus purse. It is from the mid to late 1800’s. I purchased this from an estate sale of an antique collector. After verified by experts I can say that this is a polished Nautilus Pompeii shell with silver plated top and closure. The stone on top is actually a glass cabochon. Possible “LT” hallmark as shown in pictures. Possible Anglo Indian made. Nautilus shells are listed on Cites as protected so therefore it will not be available to ship out of the USA.
