The detailing of the hand-painted Calla Lillies and green leaves are stunning, as well as the flower-like heavily swung edges — beautiful petals and vertical, etched lines — and the Lustreware, glossy finish all add to the beauty of these bowls. They can be used for dipping sauces, soups or desserts. All five are in excellent, antique condition, and the only issue at all is some fading of the gilt gold near the rims, which is very common for pieces this age. They are all imprinted on the bottoms with the RS Germany logo. The set includes two 5" bowls and three 6" bowls, all of which are original and antique. They were manufactured in Germany between 1905 and 1938, and they are perfect for all occasions. The backstamp is printed, and the production technique is fine porcelain china with a glossy, Lustreware glaze.
