Description: "Sally". This superb quality genuine Georgian period ring has a swiveling head! In solid 9 carat gold throughout, its stunning ribbed band tapers out to fluted wirework shoulders that hold the head with scrolled brackets. The head itself, also in solid 9 carat gold, is double-sided with beautifully judged gold surrounds, and set with one bloodstone and one carnelian panel. Each has beveled edges, and the carnelian is very finely engraved 'Sally' in reverse for a seal, in gorgeous cursive that catches the light beautifully. It dates to around 1820 and is in lovely original condition, with no loss or damage. There's a very old resizing to the back of the band. It's a size 8.5 and can be resized a little if needed.
