The surface of the large centrepiece is plain and unembellished. The moulded rim and foot of this fine centrepiece are ornamented with a band of pierced geometric diaper pattern decoration. Each of the two original hallmarked baskets have a rounded panelled form onto a collet foot and are embellished with identical bands of ornamentation to that of the central bowl. This impressive George V centrepiece is fitted with two angular scrolling sterling silver arms terminating with a scroll and Greek Key style ornamented hook. Condition This antique silver table centrepiece is very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition. The centrepiece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks to the surface of each the body are very clear; the hallmarks to each basket have wear in keeping with age and location, but remain legible. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique George V silverware.
