Description: ~ANTIQUE Circa. 1835 Ottoman TURKISH YATAGHAN SWORD Dagger & Original SCABBARD~ Here we have a beautiful antique circa. 1835 Yataghan sword. The blade still looks nice. On the tip of the blade there is a little edge notching but nothing terrible. The handles are solid bone and they are attached but loose. There are 2 coral pieces on the handle, there may have originally been more than that, I do not know. It also has a red stone on each side where the handle meets the blade. It looks like there are some old repairs to the metal on the handle. Has some engraving and symbols on the blade, see photos. The original scabbard has some aging and the black wrap material has some loss. There is some loss to the wood at the start of the scabbard. Blade length is 23.25 inches and total length of sword is 28.5 inches. What a great piece of history! Enjoy!
