Description: AMERICAN FLYER #1 A 40-WATT TRANSFORMER-CLEANED-SERVICED-TESTED-RUNS 1 TRAIN-LIKE NEW PLUS PLUS OPERATING CONDITION ONE AMERICAN FLYER #1 A Transformer, 40 Watt, made in August 1957, all metal base and black plastic shell. This will run 1 train. It has been cleaned, serviced and tested. It has no chips, cracks, or breaks, lite scratches on shell and lite etching on base, as shown in pictures, and is in Like New Plus Plus Operating Condition. The transformer top cover has been removed, so contacts and coil assembly could be cleaned, wiring resoldered and checked. This transformer was tested at 16.81 Volts. Binding posts, binding post nuts, have been cleaned. I installed a New Old Stock Transformer Handle. It has a good power cord in very nice condition. The last picture shows how to hookup transformer for full voltage. The shipping weight will be 4 Pounds. The voltage output at full throttle: #Terminals 1-2 16.81 Volts. The fixed Voltage Terminal #1-3 16.78 Volts. This is an American Flyer AC Transformer made to be used on a Prewar and Postwar trains.I believe I am the only one servicing these small transformers on E-bay, to sell you a safe, reliable, usable transformer.
