Description: 3378-2022) Abasolo Dart Point or Blade made of gem quality Petrified Dinosaur Bone with rootbeer groundmass and light blue color / clear agatized cells in the matrix. This specimen measures approximately 1 7/8” x 7/8” x 3/16” and has bifacial random percussion followed by selective pressure flaking resulting in a thin lenticular cross section. It has alternate left hand blade edge beveling from subsequent ancient resharpening which reduced the size of the blade by at least 20%. Has a beautiful waxy patinated luster with observable devitrification of the tectosilicates along with correct regional mineralization. Overall, in great condition with typical ancient use wear, solid G7 quality. This relic was part of the Sterling “Cherokee” Z collection out of Rusk, Texas, whom acquired it from an Austin, Texas (Travis County) collection where it was found on private property
