Description: A very rare map of NW America (SW Alaska) by Hogg 1784 Showing James Cook's travels This very uncommon map was published by Alexander Hogg in 1784.It is undated however the original published version is exactly as this version. There are later copies but most of these were coloured.This map charts the track of James Cook during his third voyage in HMS Resolution during the late 1770's It has been folded and in storage for some time amongst a large collection of other maps. As it is a fairly rare item (Most other similar examples found are coloured reproductions) it is worthy of inclusion in any definitive map collection.
