Model: M7 >--> Condition: Very Good - Very Good Plus Blade Length: 6.50" TEXT GOES HERETEXT GOES HERE --> Offered here is an M7 Gen Cut bayonet and scabbard. Overall, this bayonet is in Very Good - Very Good Plus condition. The press catch is functional with average spring tension. Both the pommel and guard are securely fastened to the tang. They have handling marks and scuffs, plus their finish has been parkerized. The screws securely fasten the checkered grip panels. They have light tool marks. The grips are distinct with a few handling marks and scuffs. The spine and sides have light handling marks and scuffs, but no notable wear. The blade has no nicks or dings and it appears to have its original factory edge. The tip is intact and comes to a sharp straight point. The finish has been parkerized. The top of the guard is marked "U.S.M7 / GEN CUT". The plastic scabbard is in Fair - Good condition. The belt hook hanger is securely attached, rotates freely and has its original configuration. Most of the finish has worn off. The canvas frog belt hoop is functional. There are no rips or tears and the stitching is sewn tightly. The retaining strap is securely fastened and the snap is functional. The metal hardware has started to oxidize and tarnish. The metal locket is securely fastened to the plastic body, it has oxidized. The plastic body has a big crack on the side, it still securely holds the bayonet. Some of the finish has come off too. The locket is marked "U.S.M8 / B.M. CO." and "BAD" on the back of the scabbard. This bayonet and scabbard will be a great addition to your bayonet collection. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
