1950s/60s COLONIAL HOMESTEAD – GREEN by Royal China, Serving Platters & Bowls

Description: Here are glossy ceramic serving dishes with green and white old-timey home scenes of the "Colonial Homestead" pattern crafted in Sebring, Ohio starting in 1950 by the Royal China Company. Production of this pattern designed by Gordon Parker ran from 1950 and was advertised in Sears all through the 1960s. Production discontinued in late 1960s. The following pieces are offered individually: LUG HANDLED CAKE PLATE – with scene of main room with dining table & fireplace. Measures 11 5/8” length. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are light utensil marks and a tiny green edge skip under the glaze near handle. 10” ROUND VEGETABLE BOWL – with scene of modest dining table. Measures 10 1/8” diameter with 2” high sides. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, crazing or utensil marks. 12” CHOP PLATE / ROUND PLATTER - with scene of main room with dining table & fireplace. Measures 12 ¼” diameter with 7/8" high sides. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, crazing, or utensil marks. 9” ROUND VEGETABLE BOWL – with scene of dish pile on sink table. Measures 9 1/8” diameter with 3/4” high sides. Condition is very good with no chips, cracks, or utensil marks but there is shallow crazing. 13” OVAL SERVING PLATTER - with closer scene of main room with dining table & fireplace. Measures 13 ¼” x 10 ¼” with ¾” high sides. Condition is good with no chips, cracks, or crazing but there are utensil marks and a discolored stilt mark on the bottom. Thanks for looking.
