Description: This set features 19 antique Meissen Blue Onion plates, produced in Germany between 1885-1934. The plates are round in shape, hand painted with a blue on white floral pattern, and made of porcelain. The set includes 9 dinner/soup plates and 9 bread/dessert plates, 9 and 6 inches wide, respectively. These special occasion plates are original Meissen production done at the end of the 1800s to early 1900s. The date of production is indicated on the underside of the plate as pictured. It is unusual to find such a large set of antique Blue Onion pottery. The lace design on the 6 inch plates is particularly valuable and beautiful. The pictures show each of the 19 plates in the set. This large set of antique Meissen Blue Onion plates is in excellent condition. Each plate is hand wash only.
