Description: This is for a rare 1887 St Louis and Kansas City Electric Packet Line Ticket Pass - No. 1209 and was a sister company to the Missouri River Transportation Company (see my other listing) and was an important player in the access to the Dakota Territory prior to statehood. issued to the President of the St Louis & Hannibal Railway - John J. Blair. The St. Louis & Keokuk RR was incorporated on February 16, 1857 but the Civil war and various depressions and recessions prevented its actual construction until 1871. Beginning in its early construction, it was largely financed and (later) owned by John Insley Blair, Blairstown, New Jersey (1802–1899), and Moses Taylor, New York banker (1806–1882).
