Description: Free eBay listing template designed by dewiso.com 1887 Leather German Bible This leather-bound Bible, published in Berlin in 1887, is a German translation drawn from Martin Luther's original. Despite its age the book is in great shape overall as detailed in the Condition Description. The front is adorned by a cross, while the back side shows an ornate cup, possibly the grail. An inscription on the inside front cover appears to read "Bertha Emilie Auguste Maafs" and is marked 1880, presumably her date of birth. It's difficult to read the script, but I believe it states that she was from Błądkowo (Plantikow) in modern-day northwest Poland.Note that only the actual USPS Media Mail shipping charge is being applied based on the weight.
